Day 365 | 2018 in Review

Day 365 | 2018 in Review

It’s dark gray and raining this morning. So I’ve turned on the twinkle lights, made a cup of coffee, and slipped back into bed to spend a few more minutes reflecting on 2018. Ani is here, too, of course. New Year’s Eve.

It’s a been a good year. A quiet year. A year of just being.
The kind of year a spirit needs to heal.
It was not always easy.
And still, a scroll through my photo roll reminds me just how abundant it was.

I’m borrowing Susannah Conway’s method to review 2018 (I don’t think she’ll mind). A round-up of some of what happened (and didn’t happen), because it is good for me to have these reminders.

The rhythm of the rain is soothing and beckons me to spend the day in slow movement. Soon, I will attempt to make my first gluten-free sourdough bread. And my sights are set on a dinner of smoky polenta and garlicky greens. A salted bath. And a list of what I want to create, who I want to be, and where I want to go, in 2019.

May your ending be sweet gold.
Your beginning, an ocean blue.
